Rwanda’s furry delivery

-

After 15 years of extinction, Akagera National Park, eastern Rwanda, has welcomed the arrival of three new lion cubs. The trio are the first to be born after a groundbreaking effort to bring the species back to Rwanda in June 2015. The cubs’ mother is one of the five lionesses donated by andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve in South Africa, while their father is one of two males donated by Tembe Elephant Reserve. The new cubs have been spotted enjoying their new home. Meanwhile, their father, the eldest and most dominant lion in the reserve, has been busy making friends with other lionesses. This means hope for more cubs to come! www.andbeyond.com
