Creatures creepy and cold

-

If your kids are fans of all things creepy crawly, then you better not miss the SPIDERS exhibition running from 29 October 2016 to 17 July 2017 at the Australian Museum. Clever, carnivorous and completely essential to our existence, the sinister spider is just too cool for school; able to climb trees, survive massive falls, swim, parachute, spin webs and grow back limbs. Kids can come face to face with the secret world of these sneaky arthropods; watch resident scientists ‘milk’ the spiders at the Venom Lab or enter the Augmented Reality room to experience the mating ritual of a peacock spider, be covered head-to-toe in virtual spiders, test the strength of silk, feel web vibrations and become the jaws of a spider.
