If your family is feeling a little more adventurous than myself, there are a range of land and sea Laguna Tours available to guests, from exploring the Phi Phi Islands by speedboats and canoeing through the turquoise waters of Phang Nga Bay (home to ‘James Bond Island’) to visits to the Splash Jungle Water Park for some more water fun and Phuket Adventure Mini Golf for a swing.
I, on the other hand, am in tropical paradise and opt to do as little as possible – in the best and most heavenly way. I spend my days floating between the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, the exclusive Club Rooms, the 30-plus restaurants and bars that form part of the Laguna Destination Resort Complex and my own accommodation – which comes complete with its own sunbed, balcony, lake views, enormous (and soft-as-a- cloud) bed and sunken bath.
