From the first rays of the rising sun over the headland to sunset behind the mountain tops of the hinterland and into the balmy evenings, Noosa will inspire, relax, delight and entertain the whole family. Sparkling seas, deep blue skies, fabulous eateries with ocean and river views, bustling outdoor cafes, superb shopping and endless outdoor fun and adventure surrounded by nature have long guaranteed the perfect Australian summer holiday. Getting to Noosa is even easier now with more flights into the nearby Sunshine Coast Airport from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Bliss on the river

The beaches and waterways around the Noosa River provide an idyllic location for learning to surf or stand-up paddle board – you can even have surfing lessons with a world champion. Travelling with a four-legged family member? There is a swim spot at the dog beach in Noosa Woods.

From catamarans to eco-powered solar ships, hiring a vessel on the river is a great way for families to explore. Moor at your own sandy spot along the river and take in the sights of stunning birdlife and beautiful homes. Enjoy a sausage sizzle on one of the pontoon boats or try your hand at fishing.

Board the ferry and cruise from Hastings Street to the Noosa Marina in Tewantin with stops all along the river. You can buy an all- day pass and enjoy the Marina Markets on a Sunday morning, let off some steam at the Pirate Park near the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club or enjoy a picnic along the river.

Wheel adventure

Take a spin on any kind of bike and discover Noosa on two wheels. From mountain bikes and road bikes, to electric bikes and even tandem bikes, there’s an option for everyone.
