Paradise Resort Revamped

The newly renovated Paradise Resort is ready to reopen.

-

After closing their doors during the

COVID-19 lockdown, family favourite Paradise Resort Gold Coast reopened on 1 September with a completely revamped look. Making the best of a bad situation, the resort brought forward its plans for a much-needed makeover and in doing so, was able to keep staff on board with repurposed roles. Chefs took to paintbrushes, housekeeping to the gardens and kids' club attendants to the water parks, working on everything from maintenance and cleaning to assisting local trades on larger renovation projects.

“Our team are as proud of their resort as I am and we cannot wait to welcome you and your family to show you in person what we’ve been up to!” said the resort general manager, David Brook. And what they've been up to looks pretty exciting. To start with, guests will be welcomed into a sleek new lobby featuring a marble-tiled floor, refreshed furniture and an aquarium. From there, kids will be left wide-eyed as they pass the indoor jungle gym and uncover the mini theme park that lies outside.

The central resort area, which is essentially a giant water playground featuring two enormous water park attractions, a large heated spa and a refreshing lagoon pool, has been updated with new grass, paint and resurfacing. To add to the fun, the Outdoor Adventure Playground has relocated next to the water park.

In its place will be the new Zone 4 Adults area, set to open this December. This space will feature a classy lounge bar and pool deck so mums and dads can relax while the littlies are being looked after in the kids' club. Don’t worry about feeling guilty for dropping the kids off because chances are, they’ll be in heaven with all the pyjama parties, disco nights, arts and crafts, carnival activities and more. Book directly with the hotel and you’ll receive up to four hours of supervised care for all kids between zero and 12 years each day. Just one of their many ‘book direct' perks.

The resort mini-mart Splashes is being transformed into a new retail and grocery store stocking a wider variety of both boutique clothing and essential holiday needs. The Ice-skating Rink, Planet Chill, has a new look with fresh paint, new floors, birthday party rooms, and snazzy LED lights underneath the ice rink. Menus have also been jazzed up at the refurbished Penguins family restaurant, Jerrys Burgers, Debs Pizza Shack and the Poolside Cafe and Bar.

Room renovations will take place in stages, with the first 66 rooms in Dusty’s Digs expected to be finished in time for Christmas. Each space will be designed with family comfort top of mind and fitted with new bathrooms, carpet, paint, flooring, beds and furniture. The second stage is set to begin in 2021, with all 360 guest rooms due for completion in 2022. In the meantime, all rooms have been deep-cleaned and sanitised prior to reopening. 01 Junior Water Park laughs 02 New-look spaces 03 Endless water fun 04 Happy parents
