Whether you have an action-packed itinerary full of all the age-appropriate adventures that vibrant Singapore has to offer, or are simply stopping over for a night or two in the city-state on a long-haul flight and looking to entertain tiny travellers, Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore makes for an ideal base.

Located along the retail paradise of Orchard Road and set amid more than six hectares of lush greenery, the hotel sure packs a kidfriendly punch, featuring a dedicated family floor with five themed family suites and 19 deluxe family rooms, vibrant dining options galore and a 2,150-square-metre dedicated indoor and outdoor children’s interactive play space called buds by Shangri-la.

Thrills and spills

Things have been taken up yet another notch with the launch of the hotel’s Splash Zone – Singapore’s largest outdoor water playground and family pool in a luxury hotel.

Guaranteed a splashing good time, guests big and small can look forward to a ton of surprises with six unique water play areas encompassing lazy rivers, vertical drops and tranquil areas for unwinding.

Kids will go crazy for Raft, where they can take on the high seas on a pirate ship and scale up the towering crow’s nest for a better vantage point, and for the very best splashes they can head to Trees & Fruits, which boasts a long list of water cannons and jets, spin splashers, water wheels, mist sprays and more.

At River, parents can join in the fun at a leisurely pace with a float down the lazy river or a dip in the free-form pool. Not interested in cooling off? Head to the Village, tucked away from the rest of the play areas, for some quiet respite in the shade. Little ones aren’t forgotten either: Cave offers a shallow pool and gentle sprays and Feast caters for toddlers aged 18 to 36 months. Whatever tickles your water babies' fancy, you will find it here.
