Ireceived some good news this week. Actually it’s terrible news, but a little part of me is thrilled. It’s looking very likely that our daggy old bathroom is leaking through numerous cracks in multiple concerning directions, and we might have to rip out and replace the whole thing. Beautiful know why this is good news, even though I have very little money to throw at the solution. The excitement has risen, because often the only reason we renovate is because we have to. It’s hard to justify replacing something perfectly functional, just because it has four different shaped and coloured tiles – even if one of those tiles is a red and grey feature tile, embossed with truly hideous early ’90s flamboyance! So this issue is perfectly timed for me. I get to think about renovating not just my bathroom, but my kitchen too!
