Invest in wiring your home for whatever the future may bring. Technology changes and improves each year, but most of the new tech released will simply clip on to prewired data cabling. 2

Run data cabling throughout the house, including bedrooms and study areas, wired to a central location or data hub. So when children reach high school and suddenly need a study zone, you can quickly adapt. 3

Think about the NBN network, which is slowly rolling out across the country. Ask your builder or electrician to be NBN ready so when it does come through, it’s just a matter of patching it across to your new connection.
