“I WANTED PIECES WHICH ALL WENT together, BUT ALSO HAD AN eclectic FEEL AND SENSE OF HISTORY”

- ~ JANE

KITCHEN With a classic palette of kitchen finishes, including white cabinetry and a marble-look splashback (opposite & left), all that was left to do was accessorise. Jane picked up various chopping boards (left) from the Eumundi Markets and Wheel & Barrow and found the cute basket at Mappins Nursery & Aquarium, while chic bar stools from Lincoln Brooks (opposite) – try Naturally Cane for a selection – add warmth.

OUTDOOR AREA It’s the details that make this spot (top left) so inviting. An oversized mirror from Uttermost reflects greenery and cleverly enhances the sense of space, with pieces including the Bisque Traders ‘Ornate’ console and ‘Pasking Style Basket’ lamp base by Emac & Lawton adding a textural, global feel. “I love that there’s a sense that things have come from far and wide,” says Jane. “Favourite pieces like the timber basket I brought back from holidays in Fiji have significance and add layers of interest.”

OUTDOOR LOUNGE ROOM “In the warmer months we live out here,” says Jane of the room that overlooks the pool and backyard (top right). The high-set ceiling creates a shady all-weather retreat where the family can spread out on rattan chairs and a sofa upholstered in classic grey and white Sunbrella fabric. Palm cushions from Weylandts paired with Tommy Bahama prints pick up the surrounding greenery and the cane coffee table from Wisteria Design exudes a relaxed summery vibe. For a similar sofa, try Globe West.
