“CUSTOM joinery WAS AN EXPENSIVE OPTION, BUT DEFINITELY THE right DECISION – IF YOU DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, IT WILL LAST”

- ~ JANE

MAIN BEDROOM Jane and Jason tackled a little DIY and painted the back wall in their bedroom Resene Bokara Grey (above left). It’s a moody backdrop to their bed, adorned with an upholstered bed head custom upholstered by Me linda Bound y Design .“The antique wall lights were a luxury, but I loved the aged brass finish and the way they tied in with the muted taupe and green linen,” says Jane of the ‘Paulo’ lights by Visual Comfort and bedding from Cultiver. Another favourite is the framed ‘Victoria’ prints in Charcoal by Bethany Linz that casually lean on timber bedsides. “I really liked the Chinoiserie-style print, which was feminine without being overly girly,” adds Jane.

POWDER ROOM Chrome features in the powder room (top right), with the silver sheen of the counter basin and tapware mirrored in the chrome pendant above (for a similar pendant, try Restoration Online).

ROSIE’S BEDROOM “When we go away on holidays, the girls look forward to coming home to their bedrooms,” says Jane. “They love to rearrange the cushions on their beds and what’s displayed on their shelves.” Pretty in pink, a Laura Ashley wrought-iron bed dressed in white Sheridan linen forms a classic centrepiece, below a Table Tonic ‘Juju’ hat. A bedside table topped with a lamp from Pottery Barn Kids is perfect for bedtime reading.
