INSIDE STORY

- SHERIDAN & CAMERON’S HOME

Who lives here?

Sheridan, a make-up artist; her husband Cameron, who works in finance; daughter Lola, 10, son Angus, eight; and Sybil the dog. Did you and Cameron agree on the finishes? Sheridan: “We actually did. There’s a little bit of give and take. Give them a win and you can have a win too! And although I love neutrals, the bright pops of colour we injected with the interiors can be easily changed.”

Did you encounter any unexpected setbacks? “The soil in this area is quite sandy and claylike. We learnt that the Japanese maple doesn’t like to sit in water, so they had to dig down really deep and add a pump to ensure its survival.”

Is there anything you’d change, given your time again?

“Possibly the white floor tiles in the bathroom, as they’re a little hard to keep looking clean.”
