Go for a galley layout. “Keep all the plumbing on one wall. If you’re renovating, it will often save time and costs and it’s a great use of space,” explains Carmel. “I like to arrange fixtures in order of usage, with the toilet and basin closer to the entry and the bath at the end of the room to form a stunning backdrop.” And, she adds, “I always advise people to embrace colour and pattern in the bathroom as well, as these are the unique choices that make the space yours. You’re only in the room for an hour or so a day, it’s the place to be bold and have some fun with finishes.”
