William Holman Hunt

Born in London, 1827, Hunt painted around his day job as an office clerk before meeting Millais in 1844. Much of his early work has a strong moral element to it, such as his The Awakening Conscience (page 46). Hunt visited the Middle East several times in his life for inspiration, and always stayed true to the teachings of the PRB.
