Introduce a smoke effect

I dip into my library of smoke trails photographed in front of a black background to create the pillars of smoke in the scene. There are plenty of these types of references available online, and you can easily integrate them into your environment by setting the layer mode to Screen. Such smoke effects add a tangible atmosphere to the scene.
