Limit your use of layers
Don’t keep too many layers when you paint. Keep only the important masks, so that you can preserve the silhouettes. Traditional painters don’t have any access to layers, which forces them to think about what they want to paint before putting the brushstroke down. Keeping all your layers is a sign that you’re not committed enough to the artistic choices that you’ve made. Try to let go of multiple layers, and learn how you can take a painting to completion while making mistakes.
