Lighting and layers

Over the past year or so I’ve developed a deep love of clipping masks. They can be a real time saver, and are a great way for me to build up the lighting on the character without it affecting the background, for instance. I’ve made sure to keep the character on a separate layer, then I’ll set my layers above that to Clipping mask: right click> Create Clipping mask.
