Work smart, not hard

A good trick I learned early on is the process of duplicating a flat shape into a pattern, then skewing that pattern into perspective and using it on the floor, walls or wherever. Since you can get some crazy patterns, I also use this technique when I’m having little luck creating a unique shape. This technique is helpful when you’re at a creative impasse.
