Take into account ambient light

Sometimes, to emphasise a warm palette, I add some cold colours on to the periphery of the painting. I start by creating a new layer in Color Mode. Remember that Color Mode transmits strong saturation, so to avoid a vivid blue, I choose grey. You look at the picture and think it’s blue, but in reality it’s not. On yellow, grey works as a blue.
