1 Making line work a separate layer

I usually start my paintings off with line work. This enables me to have a better understanding of the forms and proportions of the painting. I usually don’t paint on the layer of the line work, but I save it for reference later. I create a new layer using the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+ Shift+N and make my line work a separate layer.
