6 Check the silhouette’s readability
A silhouette should work from at least two points of view. From each you should still be able to read all the key elements. I like to think of my characters like possible sculpts, with a good balance of dynamic lines and patterns. I decide to explore an insect theme, such as a bee or wasp. I create a rough helmet design with bug eyes and antennae, and add wing-like shapes.
