Better Color Dodge usage

Create a new layer and set the mode to Color Dodge. Now doubleclick that layer and then uncheck the Transparency Shapes Layer box. The colour gradient fall-off from your brushstroke will stay saturated, giving you stronger colours on the edges and a more vibrant glow effect. However, as with all Color Dodging, use this method sparingly!
