“Digital painting is wonderful for sketching and experimenting. This painting is part of a series of exercises I did to loosen up with the brush, trying to achieve fresh and expressive results. The dark brush strokes are beautiful. We must allow ourselves to improvise and let ourselves go; sometimes it’s the drawing that tells us what the next brush stroke needs to be.”
