Succulents are ideal for this type of planting because they root easily. Their shapes and colours also work well with the organic forms of the shells. Use specialist potting mix suitable for cacti and succulents and make sure you don’t overwater as succulents will not like sitting in very wet potting mix. Try different plants together to create interesting arrangements.
