Alias ‘Kobi’ chair by Patrick Norguet
The form: A painted wire chair with aluminium legs available with or without seat, seat and back, or full upholstery pads. What makes it special? A beautifully resolved design, the ‘Kobi’ chair by renowned French designer Patrick Norguet expresses its link to classics like Bertoia’s wire chairs for Knoll but manages to remain fresh and highly original. It is also extremely comfortable, which comes as a surprise to many. The chair works between standard chair typologies, being suitable as either an upholstered dining chair or as a break-out chair for office foyers and meeting areas. Since its initial release at the Milan Furniture Fair in April 2012, an armless version has been developed alongside a matching rocking chair and a bar stool. The chair comes with a range of upholstery options and frame and wire seat colours. There is also a version with timber legs. Expect to pay: From $1115 without seat pad and $1255 with seat pad.
