Mount new partition

Once you’ve made your changes to the fstab file, go ahead and save the updated file and close it, then type the following series of commands into the Terminal and press Enter:

cd / && sudo mv /home /home_old && sudo mkdir /home You will need to reboot your computer and if you open Disks to verify that your new partition is correctly mounted at /home.
