The Perl Conference in Amsterdam
This three-day conference starts on August 9. Perl is a powerful tool that has been used to solve many problems with only a few lines of code. What started life as a grassroots user meeting has now grown into a much larger conference where Perl Mongers can share projects. For 2017 their keynote speaker is Larry Wall, creator of the Perl language. More information and a schedule of talks and workshops can be found on their website. http://act.perlconference.org EMFCamp 2018 This is still over a year away, but a date for your diaries. August 31 to September 2, 2018. Electromagnetic Field, shortened to EMFCamp, is a festival not unlike Glastonbury, but replaces the music with technology! Blacksmithing, carpentry, electronics, wearable technology, lock picking and craft ales along with the other many facets of maker culture meet in a lovely field for three days of talks, workshops and networking. If you are a maker, tinkerer, or hacker in the UK then this is the event for you! More details at: www.emfcamp.org GUADEC 2017 The GNOME conference comes to Manchester, UK, July 28 to August 2.
