Add Blu-ray support

-

Unlike DVDs, Blu-ray playback is more problematic in Linux (see LXF223) thanks to the presence of two different forms of encryption. Older discs encoded using AACS encryption are more likely to work with this method, a few BD+ encrypted discs may work if you’re lucky – it’s a case of plug and pray! The following commands install the required libraries along with VLC MediaPlayer, which you’ll need in order to watch your Blu-ray: $ sudo apt-get install vlc libaacs0

libbluray-bdj libbluray1 $ mkdir -p ~/.config/aacs/ $ cd ~/.config/aacs/ && wget http://vlcbluray.whoknowsmy.name/files/KEYDB. cfg

Once installed, pop your Blu-ray into the drive and invoke VLC from the command line: $ vlc blurray:///dev/sr0

substitute /dev/sr0 with the path to your Blu-ray drive and if the disc is supported it should automatically launch the main feature.
