Oggcamp 2018
This year’s Oggcamp’s host city is… Sheffield! It’s taking place at Sheffield Hallam University on 18 and 19 August. This venue is also the home of Steelcon (a hacker conference). Over the Oggcamp weekend you can expect talks covering the wide interests of the community and stalls where you can learn first hand about new open source tech and products. Red Hat Summit
The Moscone Center and Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, California plays host to Red Hat Summit 2018, on 7–10 May. This event is a mixture of hands-on workshops, “power training” with experts, breakout sessions and talks for engineers of all levels. This event isn’t cheap – early bird tickets are $1,300 and go up to $1,600 and $1,800 if booked nearer the time – but you’ll receive four days of intensive training from one of the most important organisations in the Linux community. This camping festival takes place from 31 August to 2 September in Eastnor, Herefordshire and offers talks, workshops and hands-on demonstrations.
