The Debian-based distro that features a good selection of security and forensic tools now has an updated kernel, 4.14. This brings a range of new features, such as AMD Secure Memory Encryption support and increased memory limits, both of which will benefit this distro.

As well as an updated kernel, Kali Linux 2018.1 also features a number of updated packages, including zaproxy, secure-socket-funneling, pixiewps, seclists, burpsuite, dbeaver and reaver.
