PyCon US 2018

The Python Conference for US Pythonista­s, attracts over 4,000 people for a week of tutorials, talks, events and sprints where like-minded groups can meet and work on Python-powered projects. It takes place in Cleveland, Ohio, between 9 and 17 May, and features over 100 talks and many expert-led tutorials where you can learn and sharpen your Python skills. If you’re looking for a Pythonrela­ted career then there’s even a job fair with big names in the tech community.

MakeFest (Manchester) The Mini Maker Faire Manchester, launched in 2012, has morphed into Makefest. It’s held at Manchester’s famous Museum of Science and Industry on 26 and 27 May, and will feature the many different sub cultures that make up the maker movement: crafters, tailors, carpenters, musicians, hackers, tinkerers and more. Liverpool Makefest

Located inside the city’s glorious central library, this one-day event takes place on 30 June and is completely free. If your passion is robots, fashion, jewellery or art then Liverpool Makefest has something for you. Take part in the free workshops, talk with stall holders and learn about their part in the maker community. Take the kids, your nan and enjoy a day in a beautiful building!
