SET UP NOMACS’ BATCH-PROCESSING TOOL

-

1 Choose your files

Choose Tools>Batch Processing to open a new tab. First, select the files you wish to include. Use the File Explorer pane to select a folder, then select all the files within that folder you wish to process in the usual way (such as Ctrl-click for non-consecutive files). Click the Batch Process button to add them to the File List. Repeat for other folders.

3 Make further changes

Select Transform to resize your images (this enables you to resize them to a similar size using a set width or height), plus change orientation and crop into the images if necessary. You can also apply the Page Extraction plugin (which detects or crops document pages) to your batch job – expand it and choose the type(s) of extraction you wish to perform, such as Crop to Page.

2 Choose your adjustments

Select Adjustments from the left-hand pane. You can now choose one or more adjustments to perform on the selection – depending on the adjustment selected, you’ll be shown additional options like angle of rotation or hue, saturation and brightness levels. Make sure the box is ticked so the effect is applied when you run the job.

4 Choose output and process

The final step makes it possible for you to select an output directory (or use the current input directory), set a new filenaming pattern and convert to a different file format if you wish. Once you’re happy, click the Play button to perform the job. If you’re happy with the results, select Profiles and click + to store your settings as a new profile.
