QUILTING AND FINISHING
Remove the selvedges from the backing fabric and press well. Make a quilt sandwich by placing the backing fabric right side down, the batting on top, then the quilt top centrally and right side up. The backing and batting are slightly larger than the quilt top. Baste the layers together using your preferred method.
Quilt as desired. Lou quilted around the star, triangle and square shapes. Trim off excess batting and backing fabric and square up the quilt. Take the leftover Fabrics A-C and cut a selection of 2 in x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end-to-end with diagonal seams to make a strip with a total length of approx 160in. Fold the strip in half along its length, WST, and press. Sew the binding to the right side of the quilt, folding a mitre at each corner. Fold the binding over to the back of the quilt and hand stitch in place to finish.
