■ Background fabric: ½yd

■ Black fabric: ¼yd

■ Backing fabric: ¾yd

■ Batting: 26in square

FINISHED SIZE ■ 24in square

From the background fabric cut:

■ Two (2) 4¾in x WOF strips. Subcut into four (4) 4¾in x 18in pieces.

■ One (1) 8½in x WOF strip. Subcut into four (4) 8½in squares. Cut each square in half on the diagonal to form eight triangles.

From your black fabric cut four (4) 1½in x WOF strips. Subcut into eight (8) 1½in x

14½in pieces.

MAKING THE CUSHION

Follow steps 9–12 of the quilt instructions on page 77 to make one Block B. In step

11, trim each quarter block to 12½in square.

Follow steps 4–7 of the Cushion A instructions to complete Cushion B, quilting as desired. Nicole straight line quilted in the X, echo quilting in the rest.
