CALMING CURVES

I think we can all agree that a quilter’s natural territory is straight lines. We spend hours making sure that our seams are straight as we whizz through piecing at lightening speed. So it’s no wonder that the mere mention of curves fills many of us with horror! Our comfort zone is undeniably a lovely place to be, but this month we have projects that challenge some of our play-it-safe quilting preconceptions and push those boundaries just a little. Let's take a deep breath, dial down the speed to a more sedate pace, and create some soft curves and circles this issue. But what if it all goes wrong? In my experience there’s very little that a seam ripper and a few choice words can’t deal with!
