PICK A SELECTION OF SOLIDS THAT FLOW SMOOTHLY FROM ONE SHADE TO ANOTHER
NOTES
■ Yardage is given to cut one continuous piece for the lining. If you piece your lining, you will need less.
■ Seam allowances are ¼in throughout, unless otherwise noted.
■ Pattern assumes fabric is at least 42in wide.
■ RST = right sides together.
■ WOF = width of fabric.
■ Wash and press all fabrics well before cutting.
FABRICS USED
Fabrics are all Kona Cotton Solids by Robert Kaufman, in Seaglass, Aqua, Bahama Blue, Blue Jay, Cornflower, Breeze, Sky, Quicksilver, Haze, Shell, Lingerie and White.

PIECING THE PATCHWORK PANEL
5
Join eight of the 2½in x WOF strips together along the long edges (Fig 1). Press the seams open – this will be easiest
if you press each seam open as you add a new strip to the unit. Subcut the pieced panel into one 16½in x 35¾in piece and one 16½in x 2½in strip.
6
Take the remaining solid 2½in x WOF strip and trim 5in off the end. Join the
2½in x 5in piece to one end of the 16½in x 2½in pieced strip from step 5. Add the remaining solid strip to the other side of the pieced strip (Fig 2). Trim the strip to
2½in x 35¾in, cutting fabric away from the long piece you added last.
7
Join the pieced strip from the last step to the side of the 16½in x 35¾in panel from step 5. The panel should now measure 35¾in x 18½in (Fig 3).
8
Sew the peach, light teal and dark teal
18½in x 4¾in strips and the white 5¾in x 18½in strip along the long edges to make an 18½in square (Fig 4). Join this to the top of the panel from step 7 (Fig 5).
