■ Fabric F (green): 5in square
■ Binding: ¼yd
■ Batting: 24in square
■ Backing fabric: ¾ yd

Print fabrics are from various collections by Ruby Star Society. Solid fabric is a Bella Solid in Bluebell, by Moda Fabrics.
CUTTING OUT
1 From the background fabric cut:
■ Two (2) 1½in x WOF. Subcut eight
(8) 1½in x 9½in.
■ Three (3) 2in x WOF. Subcut thirty two
(32) 2in squares and eight (8) 2in x 2½in.
■ One (1) 4½in square.
■ One (1) 1½in x WOF. Subcut two (2)
1½in x 18½in.
■ One (1) 1½in x WOF. Subcut two (2)
1½in x 20½in.
2 From each of Fabrics A, B, C and D cut: ■ Four (4) 2in x 7½in.
3 From Fabric E cut: ■ Four (4) 2in x 4½in.
4 From Fabric F cut: ■ Four (4) 2½in squares.
5 From the binding cut:
■ Three (3) 2½in x WOF.
PIECING THE MINI QUILT
6 Follow steps 6– 8 of the main quilt instructions to make a total of four Flying Geese, using the background 4½in square and four Fabric F 2½in squares. Trim each unit to 2in x 3½in, leaving ¼in above the point of the Flying Geese.
7 Sew a 2in x 2½in background piece to
either side of each Flying Geese unit.
8 Follow steps 10–11 of the main quilt
instructions to add background 2in CSTs to either end of the of the Fabric A, D and E strips. Then join a background 2in square to either end of the Fabric E strips.
9 Make four strawberry blocks as in step 13 of the main quilt instructions, and adding the 1½in x 9½in background strips to either side of each of the blocks.
10 Arrange the blocks in two rows of two,
referring to the photography for placement. Sew the bocks together in pairs, then sew the pairs together, making sure to carefully match the seams.
11 Sew a background 1½in x 18½in strip to
either side, then sew the 1½in x 20½in strips to the top and bottom. Press seams towards the background strips.
12 Finish the quilt as in steps 19–22 of the main quilt instructions.
