It shares many of the features of paid-for text editors like its sibling, BBEdit, such as syntax colouring, cold folding – where you can show and hide sections of code – and direct access to files stored on FTP servers.
If you spend your life writing code or need to do heavy lifting on text documents you’ll miss some features, like the ability to read and write to files stored in zip archives, and BBEdits’ Scratchpad and full set of HTML tools.
