How easy is it to import your bank data?

-

iBank lets you download your transactions for free by logging into your bank through its integrated browser, at which point it should detect the downloaded data file and suck in the transactions. You can set it up to download and import them in the background if you sign up for a $39.99 per year Direct Access add-on.

MoneyWiz can’t download directly from your bank, and neither can YNAB, but they can manually import data in the most common statement formats, as well as Quicken files. Money and MoneyWell can connect to a wide range of US banks, but common UK institutions (Barclays, Lloyds and NatWest among others) are omitted, so you have to import manual statement downloads instead.

Wave supports a wide range of banks, but we were unable to connect to Barclays, and when we tried to download our data from Smile (Co-op) it got stuck in a loop, repeatedly asking for our login credentials; we resorted to manual imports here, too.
