Is it too reductionist to call this Instagram in 3D? Well, that’s what I’m going to call it. The idea is that you can show people the shape and texture of something by taking small, movable 3D scenes. You hold up your phone to take a photo as normal, but then move the phone sideways while shooting. The app creates a 3D model of the scene. It’s hard to get right at first, but there’s some cool stuff to explore. Results are shareable on Seene’s network.
