Fixing poor mobile signal

-

I was reading a letter from a person with poor coverage in Cheshire, and you recommended Skype. However, there are a few options that are free. For example, Three have launched an app that routes both your incoming and outgoing cell calls via your Wi-Fi. It still uses your tariff, but improves coverage, or in the case of Three, makes it exist. And, unlike Skype, you can answer and hang up on calls using a Bluetooth headset, something that on iOS you cannot do. Vodafone have a home box, as well. Skype as an app is pretty heavy on resources, whereas other apps, say Viber, are lightweight. Richard Donnelly Three’s inTouch app wasn’t available when I wrote my original answer for Peter Merchant in MF276, but it does seem like a better solution. Three won’t charge you for the 0.7MB of data that’s used for each minute of talking, but it does count against the ordinary call minutes of your phone tariff.
