How do I decline incoming calls?

I’ve upgraded to an iPhone 5c. What’s happened to the decline button for phone calls? I’m sure I used to be able to reject calls from the lock screen, but now it only seems to work if the phone is unlocked. From the lock screen, all I can do is slide to answer. Julie Vassova In iOS 6 you could swipe the phone icon upwards to reveal extra options, including ‘decline’. This was dropped from iOS 7, perhaps to reduce the risk of triggering it accidentally. We’ve now gone back to the system that was used for iOS 5. Pressing the Sleep/ Wake button once will silence the call; pressing it twice will reject the call.
