Lighten up

Make sure you’re lit well so the person you’re calling can see you. On a MacBook you can boost the light with the brightness settings on your screen. To brighten the background, place lamps either side of you. If lots of light floods in from one window, obscure it with a net curtain. If needs be, lighten the background with a white sheet so you stand out.
