I’m plan­ning to re­place my old PC soon. I use my PC mainly for edit­ing pho­tos; I think an iMac with its large screen is right for the job, and with the size of hard drive avail­able it suits lots of photo files.

How­ever, I use Photo Cal­en­dar Cre­ator – a piece of soft­ware that’s un­avail­able for OS X – to print cal­en­dars for all my friends, with my pals now ask­ing when it will be out, so I can­not stop the tra­di­tion! I read in MacFor­mat that Mi­crosoft soft­ware can be run by in­stalling a Win­dows soft­ware to run it. I don’t re­ally want to go that way – I want to get away from Win­dows al­to­gether – how­ever, I’m not sure how to go about look­ing for apps that are avail­able for iMac to see if a sim­i­lar app is avail­able.
