MiniDrone Rolling Spider Smaller drone, smaller fun
3 Taking the quad-rotor flight of the AR Drone 2.0 and shrinking down the size, price and battery life, this is a neat idea with a few execution niggles. While its size means it can be used indoors, its nippy speed means you’ll need a decent amount of space to prevent crashes – especially if you're an inexperienced pilot. The wheels are an interesting addition – if you’re really skilled, you can even use them in tandem with the rotors to manoeuvre up a wall and along the ceiling – but flight remains the central allure here, even if it’s not as enjoyable as its big brother.
