The Finder more useful
Apple has simplified the information displayed in the Finder in recent versions of OS X, but you can change that. To see the status bar at the bottom of a Finder window, press ç+/ or to see the path bar, use ç+å+P.
In the Recent Items section of the menu, hold down the ç key to navigate to the folder in which the item is enclosed. In Spotlight, holding down ç displays the item’s path at the bottom of the window, and pressing ® takes you to the enclosing folder.
