Ap­ple loves Tim Cook

Ap­ple em­ploy­ees rate CEO Tim Cook higher than em­ploy­ees at any other tech firm rate their boss, ac­cord­ing to UBS Ev­i­dence Lab. UBS an­a­lyst, Steven Milunovich last year praised Cook, say­ing the Ap­ple boss “thinks big” and pre­dict­ing the com­pany would tran­si­tion to be less like a tech com­pany and more a luxury life­style brand. Re­flect­ing Ap­ple’s con­tin­ued suc­cess, CEO Tim Cook earned $9.22 mil­lion in salary, bonuses and other com­pen­sa­tion last year, while com­pany stock hit new highs. Other ex­ec­u­tives re­ceived 14% raises as the com­pany board said re­sults had ex­ceeded ex­pec­ta­tions. For­mer Burberry CEO An­gela Ahrendts re­ceived over $73 mil­lion in cash and stock, a pay­ment that re­flected spe­cial in­duce­ments re­quired to at­tract her from the UK cloth­ing firm.
