Accidentally cloned phone

I got my wife an iPhone 6 but when setting it up, I foolishly used my backup. Now whenever I receive a text, it appears on both phones! Andrew Mather The carrier settings are tied to the SIM card, and you can’t change the phone number just by backing it up from another phone. I think all that’s happened is you have set it up for your iCloud account and her phone is receiving messages through Wi-Fi from your account while it‘s in range of Wi-Fi. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, to take the phone back to its ‘out of the box’ state and you can set it up again. Or let her do it this time!
