Restoring older iPad apps

I had to factory reset my first-gen iPad and now I can’t download my apps as the latest versions mostly need at least iOS 6 and I’m stuck on iOS 5. Jaimie Sylvano Turn off automatic downloading of apps in Settings > Store on your iPad. Open the App Store on your iPad and then tap Purchased at the bottom of the screen. When you tap on an app, look for a download button that will retrieve the last version that is compatible with your iPad’s version of iOS. Not all apps have this, but most of them do.
