3 On the surface, this dock’s lack of HDMI, two USB ports (and one eSATA), and all ports – even audio – being on the back is unappealing. But it’s a good choice if you need two USB SSDs not to slow each other down – we got a combined transfer rate of around 500MB/second, up from 350MB/second from the other docks. Its peak of 369MB/second with a single drive is a modest boost of less than 20MB/second on them, but none of the docks came close to 435MB/second from our Mac’s built-in ports.
