Cost and update
The free apps obviously have an advantage in terms of cost, but understandably both Any. do and Wunderlist do try to court premium subscribers. Clear is (clearly – ahem) the best one in terms of value, when you consider not only the Mac app but also the lack of subscription and the low-cost iOS app to boot. We can see why OmniFocus is expensive (although we’re not keen on being fleeced for both iPhone and iPad apps). And Things is equally costly at £30, though it is certainly good at helping plan important business projects. As we write, Any.do, Clear, Things, OmniFocus and Wunderlist have all been updated very recently
